On Saturday September 10, The 2DK LAB kicks off the 22nd Anniversary of the founding of the largest hip-hop crew in the tri-state area. The 2 Dope Kings – Leave All Burned also known as The Double Down Kings is a crew of graffiti writers, musicians and creative artists established in Hyattsville, MD in 1994, by Eon2 and Alone. Over the past two decades the crew has grown from its graffiti roots and has expanded to more than 300 members, influencing many areas of urban culture and expression, including, visual art, design, photography, music, dance, tattoo, publishing, martial arts, education, film and fashion.

In honor of the crews' 22nd Anniversary, this award-winning collective recognizes its visual and performing artists by returning to their hometown and displaying the fruits of their labor with, Double Down: 22-YEARS OF THE 2DK LAB, a week long celebration of the crews members and talents.

Featuring:

  • New works of art from many of the MD, DC and VA areas most notable graffiti artists
  • Ephemera and retrospective works
  • Live performances
  • Instructional graffiti workshops
  • Documentary film screenings

Located at The Arts District Building at 5132 Baltimore Ave. Hyattsville, MD. Opening reception begins at 2pm on September 10th and the gallery will be open to the public until September 17th.
