“Turn the Tables”

In honor of National Women’s History month, Studio SoHy and Red Onion Records are collaborating on a show to honor and highlight local female and female identifying artists using album cover art!

Do you remember your very first album? Visual artists and musical artists share a long, collaborative history. From the advent of the album cover in the 1930s to the era of psychedelic covers from the 60s & 70s, artists have long been creating iconic images to represent some of our favorite music.

For the “Turn the Tables” show, Red Onion Records has provided each participating artist with an album cover that they will alter and/or recreate in their own style.

What better time than now to think about how each one of us will “Turn the Tables” through our art.
